Like all great love stories, theirs began in a frat house.
When Camille's friend, Margo, found herself sidelined by a "3 B's Ban", barring her from attending a Sigma Alpha Epsilon date party themed "Work Days," she enlisted Camille to accompany her boyfriend Colton instead. As fate would have it, the evening took an unexpected turn when Joshua, the only other soul in business professional attire, approached Camille and uttered the question, "Who the heck are you supposed to be?" Thus began a conversation that delved into topics ranging from Law School and Lobbying to Politics and Pageantry, igniting a spark between them.
In the ensuing months, their connection deepened over a shared appreciation for antiques and classic rock. The following semester, they found themselves enrolled in the same 8 am class, Mississippi Politics. Despite Camille's aversion to early mornings, she willingly arose early to get dolled up and wait for Josh outside Old Main so he could walk her to class.
Then, on February 20, 2020, amidst a feverish haze—likely induced by what is speculated as one of the first unofficial cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi—Josh summoned the courage to ask Camille to be his girlfriend, sealing their fate together.
And if ever questioned by their future children, they ask you to tell them their parents met during college bible study.
